Banister Bend Farm, LLC owns and operates the Banister Bend Mitigation Bank (BBMB).  The BBMB is located on a 226-acre tract in Pittsylvania County, VA.

The Bank is positioned between the Banister River and a Cooperative Wildlife Conservation Area created by Banister Bend Farm LLC, Ducks Unlimited and the VA Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

The BBMB has created a new wetland environment from farmed land, greatly enhancing the existing conservation area. Significantly new ecological benefits will accrue to the Banister River Watershed from the creation of the new wetlands.  The Banister River empties into the Dan River and is a part of the larger Roanoke River Watershed.

The new wetlands connect the Banister River with the existing conservation area providing a more diverse habitat and enhanced wildlife cover and food.  Additionally, a wildlife corridor has been established connecting the Banister River with a major tributary, Stinking Creek.
